Spring Is Almost Here!

Scion exchange season is still around. If you were wondering when the citrus scion exchange was going to take place - it is just around the corner and will take place on the 12th of February at the usual Prusch Park location. Should you like to expand or share your citrus collection, don't miss this event. If you are uncertain about your abilities to graft the aqcuired cuttings, read on.

Following many scion exchanges hosted by California Rare Fruit Growers, we are organizing a grafting party! It will take place in Fremont some time in late March or beginning of April, with a demonstration and hands on grafting under an eye of a pro.  Watch this space for event announcement.

For those who are not into fruit trees, or just don't have the space, we have something different to offer: Seed Exchange! From container growing to providing most of your veggie needs in Summer, there is a lot to share. Come and join us in a park, grab some seeds and gardening advice or share what you've enjoyed and learned over the years.

We need your help!

We are looking for a new home for our annual TomatoBash - an heirloom tomato tasting event we have been hosting at the Picchetti Winery for the past 3 years. We are hoping to both, expand the event and make it more affordable for participants, hence searching for a new venue. We are looking for an outdoor space in the Bay Area that could accommodate 200 - 400 people, where alcohol can be served (wine). For the logistical reasons, private location is easier, but we are open to all suggestions. If you have ideas send us a note.
